This is an older, hard to find, hand painted Lefton China trinket, treasure box. It depicts a cute little begging puppy in a Santa hat sitting on top of a Christmas present. It is so adorable! It could be used as a jewelry box, ring box or gift box. What a great place to hide a surprise gift! There is a little bit of paint missing on the Santa Claus hat, but no chips. There is a number on the bottom that has almost disappeared from age - it looks like # 2788. It stands approximately 3 1/4 inches tall, 2 1/8 inches long and 2 1/8 inches wide. It says "Lefton China Hand Painted" and has a royal crown symbol on the bottom.
